Privacy Policy

Short version: Mizaji does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Your entries live on your device, encrypted, and nowhere else. The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising network, no account system, and no third-party tracker.

Important — not medical advice: Mizaji is a self-help mood-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, not a diagnosis tool, and not a substitute for professional mental-health care. Who we are

Mizaji is an independent mobile app for personal mood tracking. "Mizaji", "we", "us" and "our" in this policy refer to the publisher of the Mizaji app. You can reach us at [email protected].

What data we collect

None that leaves your device. Specifically:

• Account data: We do not ask for an email, phone number, or name. The app has no login.
• Mood entries: Moods, emotions, activities, and notes you write are stored in an encrypted database on your phone. They are never uploaded anywhere.
• Analytics / tracking: We do not integrate Google Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Meta SDK, TikTok SDK, or any similar analytics, crash-reporting, or attribution service.
• Advertising identifiers: We do not request the Apple IDFA, the Android Advertising ID, or any other tracking identifier.
• Location: We do not request or access your location.
• Contacts, photos, health data: We do not request access to contacts, photos, the camera, microphone, HealthKit, or Google Fit.

Permissions requested

The app may request local notification permission so it can send you the daily reminder you configured. Notifications are scheduled locally by iOS or Android — we never see or trigger them from a server. You can disable them at any time in your system settings or in the app.

Where your data lives

Your mood history is stored inside the app's private sandbox on your phone, in a database that is encrypted on your device. The encryption key is generated the first time you open the app and stored in the operating system's secure keystore (iOS Keychain or Android Keystore). The key never leaves the device. If you uninstall the app, the database is removed along with it.

Device loss: If you lose your device or reset its operating system, the encryption key cannot be recovered — your mood entries cannot be restored from another device. Use the export feature regularly if you want a backup.

Export and deletion

You can export your full history (JSON or CSV) from the Settings screen at any time. You can delete every entry with a single action in Settings, or remove all data by uninstalling the app. Because nothing is sent to a server, we cannot "forget" data we never received.

Children

Mizaji does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). Because no data leaves the device, the app is safe to use at any age.

Third-party services

The app itself does not embed any third-party SDK that transmits data. The App Store and Google Play stores have their own privacy practices for downloads, crash logs, and ratings; those are governed by Apple's and Google's policies respectively, not ours.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what data the app handles, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be highlighted in-app when you next open it.
